This tutorial will show you how to set an Auto Gratuity and include a button on the settle screen for toggling it on or off.
Step 1: Create a Ticket Calculation and set the Calculation Method to: Rate from ticket amount. Make sure you set Rate or Amount to the rate you prefer example: 18 for 18% and check the Toggle Calculation box.
Step 2: Create a Calculation Selector make sure it has a Button Header and is mapped.
Step 3: Create an Action type Update Ticket Calculation and enter the following for the boxes in the action and save it.
Calculation Type: Select your calculation type
Amount: [:Amount]
Reset Ticket: True
Remove Calculation: Leave blank
Round Amount: Leave blank
Step 4: Create a rule for Update Auto Gratuity name it Update Auto Gratuity
Event Name: Ticket Created
Leave custom constraint empty
Press Select Actions and select your new action then in the box for Amount type your percent gratuity as a whole number. This example used 18% so 18 was entered.
